The Disruptive Social Care Podcast “Book of the Week”

In this week’s show Shirley Ayres and Stuart Arnott recommended the excellent book “The End of Business As Usual” by Brian Solis (@briansolis).

Brian is a digital analyst, sociologist, futurist and author, and has studied and influenced the effects of social media and disruptive technology on business, marketing, entertainment, and culture.

He was also among the first to define “Social Media” and wrote the worldwide hit The Social Media Manifesto, which showed in detail how organisations need to rethink business, marketing and service strategies.

Brian’s blog is ranked in the top 10 marketing blogs in the AdAge Power 150 and is also a Top 100 business blog as ranked by Technorati.

His theories are very relevant to our efforts raising the profile of disruptive social care – as Brian says “when you engage you build an authoritative social network which increases your visibility, relevance and influence”.

You can buy “The End of Business as Usual” as well as Brian’s latest book “Engage” through our “Disruptive Store” – we get a small commission so you’ll be helping us too.
